這個節盒是由四層的圓型盒子組成．蓋上的主圖是 閑讀休憩圗．有傳統的山水亭橋. 盒身以錦球為主題装飾．每層散佈著十多個不同形狀和花様的錦球．彫飾深刻精緻，構圖巧妙．工藝生動細膩, 即使背景的花地也頗為複雜. 其漆色鮮紅明亮, 漆層頗厚．能把球内的花兒彫成半立體地浮現起來．可以借明朝黄成著的<髤飾録>所言, 也算恰當: 圓活清明．藏鋒清楚．隱起圓滑．纖細精緻，千文(紋)萬華(花).

Cinnabar Tiered Box

This is a stack of tiered lacquer box with four compartments. The lid is decorated with gentlemen resting in a hut next to the river, surrounded by scenic features of bridge and mountains. Around the sides are features carved with elevated flower balls. Each of these balls is different from one another, about ten over each section. The design of the pattern is lively and the craftsmanship is exceptionally fine. The layer of the cinnabar is so thick that it allows the relief to stand out almost in a three dimensional look. Its ground behind the ball is an unusual pattern of coins and floral pattern.
