The rim of this black bowl was on purpose left unglazed, leaving a white ring on top of the black body. This difference in colour makes the everyday ware stands out of the ordinary. The strong contrast do not indicate any conflicting tone, but well fitted with harmony. It looks simple and plain, yet inspiring and solemn.

The design of the bowl is quite thoughtful. While the ball shape body appears unstable on the table, its hidden gravity and the small flat tip did the trick. It practically can stand upright like a tumbler after you push it side way. It also can fit in the palm comfortably and respectfully. These round shape bowls are commonly used by monks.
